Legal Documents
Türk Gastroenteroloji Derneği (hereinafter referred to as “Türk Gastroenteroloji Derneği ”), like many websites, uses cookies to provide visitors with a better website experience.
This Cookie Policy has been prepared to inform website visitors about the definition of cookies, cookie types, cookies used by Türk Gastroenteroloji Derneği, and how cookie preferences can be managed. If the cookie usage warning on the website is closed or website usage is continued, consent to cookies is deemed to have been given.
If you do not approve of cookie usage, we kindly request that you do not continue on the website or change your cookie preferences from your browser. We would like to remind you that if cookies are not allowed, some features of the website may lose their functionality.
WHAT IS A COOKIE?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. These files store data such as your IP address, session information, pages you accessed, etc. Cookies do not contain data such as name, surname, or address. Thanks to cookies, your website preferences can be remembered, your session can be kept open, or content you are interested in can be presented to you.
For detailed information about cookies, you can visit www.aboutcookies.org and www.allaboutcookies.org.
TYPES OF COOKIES
Cookies are divided into different types based on criteria such as their storage duration on mobile devices and by whom they are placed. The main distinction within these criteria is as follows:
Session Cookies/Persistent Cookies: Session cookies are temporary cookies that are deleted from the device after you close the browser. The main function of these cookies is to ensure the website functions properly. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, remain on the device until deleted by the visitor or until their expiration, even after the browser is closed. Persistent cookies allow sites to remember your preferences when you return. For example, if you choose to read the site in German during your first visit, the site will automatically appear in German when you return. Not having to select a language preference every time makes it more convenient, efficient, and user-friendly for you.
First-Party/Third-Party Cookies: First-party cookies are cookies placed on the device by the visited website operator. Third-party cookies are cookies placed and controlled on the device by parties other than the visited website operator.

Targeting/Advertising Cookies: Türk Gastroenteroloji Derneği uses various first-party and third-party cookies for targeting and advertising purposes on its website. You can block these cookies by changing your browser settings. These cookies can be used, for example, to learn about your general interests, such as the websites you visit and the products you purchase. Even if you do not have an account on a social network (e.g., Facebook), have not logged in to the plugin provider, or have not clicked on the plugin, it is possible for social media providers to record information such as the URL of the visited website or your IP address.
