Who Are We?
The Young Gastroenterologists Group (GGG) is a subgroup within the Türk Gastroenteroloji Derneği (TGD) for gastroenterologists who are undergoing specialist training or are within the first five years after completing their specialist training.

We first gathered on social media in 2018 as gastroenterologists in compulsory service, and for approximately 3 years, we formed a group to get to know each other and discuss the medical and social problems we experienced during compulsory service.

With the support of the TGD board of directors, we have now prepared an additional tab on the TGD website to increase communication between young gastroenterologists, our experienced faculty members, and the board of directors. Our aim is to establish communication with young gastroenterologists we haven’t met yet and to build a bridge between the association’s board of directors and young gastroenterologists.

Aim:
Thus, we aim to increase the motivation of young gastroenterologists by keeping them together and in communication, strengthen team spirit, and offer fast and effective solutions to common problems with the support of the TGD board of directors.

Furthermore, we hope to ensure that young gastroenterologists in Turkey are aware of and participate in the scholarships, schools, and training programs created for them by both the TGD and the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Young Talent Group (YTG).

Today’s young gastroenterologists, together and in communication and coordination, will become the academic leaders of the future, and we hope the seeds for this will be sown in this group.
