It is of great importance that educational institutions undergo internal evaluation and independent external evaluation processes established by professional organizations regarding the quality of their programs and their compliance with international standards. The external evaluation of specialization training programs is carried out by the “Competency Boards/Commissions” structured by specialty associations that are members of the Turkish Medical Association Specialization Associations Coordination Board (TTB-UDEK).
As the Board of Directors of Türk Gastroenteroloji Derneği, we wanted to share with our esteemed members that we have commenced our work on the Accreditation of Medical Specialization Training programs. The support and contributions of the entire Gastroenterology community will be invaluable to us during this process.
